Celebrating Creativity Across Downtown Warren
Historic Warren Main Street murals help transform downtown Warren into a vibrant and welcoming destination while celebrating the stories, people, and culture that define the community. Through partnerships, grants, and support from local organizations, these public art installations create visual landmarks that encourage tourism, inspire community pride, and enhance the character of downtown spaces. Each mural reflects a unique part of Warren’s identity while helping preserve local history in a creative and engaging way.
As the collection continues to grow, the murals serve as both artistic attractions and meaningful reminders of the strong community spirit that continues to shape Warren’s future.
Mural One
Located at 111 East First St. on the East of Chicago Pizza building, this mural highlights Warren’s historic roots and small-town heritage. Completed in 2021, the mural helps preserve local history through public art in downtown Warren.
Fun Fact: The date on the telephone, June 17, 1974 is a reference to the date Warren received dial telephone, the last community in Indiana to receive dial phones and one of the last in the country.

Mural Two
Located at 128 N Wayne Street, this mural captures the spirit of Warren’s motto, “Small Town, Big Heart.” Completed in 2022 through a public art initiative grant from the Indiana Destination Development Corporation and additional funding from Historic Warren Main Street, Community Foundation of Huntington County, and the Town of Warren. This mural celebrates community pride and connection.

Mural Three
Located in the heart of downtown Warren, this vibrant tree mural was funded through a 2022 Hometown Grant and created in partnership with artist Nancy Wagner and the Indiana Destination Development Corporation. The interactive mural enhances downtown beautification efforts and is featured on the Indiana Mural Trail Map.

Mural Four
Located at 222 N Wayne Street, this patriotic mural was created to celebrate the Fourth of July and honor America’s 250th birthday. Designed by local Warren artist Bruce Winters, the mural reflects both national pride and community spirit while adding another vibrant landmark to Warren’s growing public art collection. Funding for the project was provided by Historic Warren Main Street and the Community Foundation of Huntington County.
